Palos Verdes Peninsula Heads Tournament List

Sixteen teams will participate in the Estancia High School girls’ summer basketball tournament this Friday through Monday.

The teams include State Division I champion Palos Verdes Peninsula, Sunset League champion Marina, Pacific Coast League champion Costa Mesa and South Coast League champion Capistrano Valley.

All games will be played at Estancia. The quarterfinals will be held Saturday and the semifinals Sunday. Friday’s first-round schedule:

Upper bracket--Peninsula vs. Trabuco Hills, 11 a.m.; Western vs. Newport Harbor, 12:10 p.m.; Mater Dei vs. University, 1:20, and Century vs. Marina, 2:30.

Lower bracket--Woodbridge vs. Santa Ana Valley, 4; Corona del Mar vs. Costa Mesa, 5:10; Irvine vs. Ocean View, 6:20, and Capistrano Valley vs. Estancia, 7:30.
