Sebreros Scores Three Touchdowns; Garden Grove Rolls

Jim Sebreros rushed for 176 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead Garden Grove to a 41-9 victory over Savanna before 1,140 fans at Garden Grove High.
Running back Gary Hemme scored two touchdowns, and quarterback Brian Schneider scored one and added a two-point conversion. The Garden Grove offensive line powered through the Savanna defense, opening gaping holes for the Argonaut runners.
The Garden Grove defense shut down the Savanna offense, holding them to only three points and four first downs in the first half. The Rebels’ only touchdown came with 10 minute 14 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
Savanna was led by junior quarterback Paul Waldrop, who led the team in offense by throwing for 115 yards, completing seven of 17 attempts. He threw a touchdown pass to sophomore running back Daven King.
