HEADY PRACTICE: Mission Viejo, chosen as the site for the U.S. soccer team’s 1994 World Cup training, wants to live up to its promise to be ready. . . . It’s hired contractors and architects to prepare two soccer fields and a 3,700-square-foot training facility at Oso Viejo Park. All should be ready by March, 1993. The city’s investment is estimated at $2.3 million. . . . Says city Parks Director Kelly Doyle: “There’s an intangible benefit; this enhances the city’s prestige and benefits everyone in the community.”
