Quartz Hill 7, Palmdale 6--Palmdale’s Albert Lairson was wide right on a 30-yard field-goal attempt with 1:29 left and the Rebels (2-5, 1-1) escaped with the win at Palmdale.

Idanree Anderson took the opening kickoff of the second half 96 yards for Quartz Hill’s only score.

Palmdale (3-4, 1-1) marched back on its next possession, and quarterback Terrence Zenno tossed a 30-yard scoring pass to Roosevelt Miller. But the extra-point attempt missed to the right.

Anderson led all rushers with 111 yards in 22 carries. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 61 yards.
