Esperanza-Mater Dei Home, Home Series Set
Esperanza and Mater Dei have orally committed to a home-and-home football series for the 1993 and ’94 football seasons, Mater Dei Athletic Director Gary McKnight said Monday.
Esperanza will play the Monarchs next season at Santa Ana Stadium, then Esperanza will play host to Mater Dei at Valencia High School in 1994, McKnight said.
Esperanza is currently the No. 1-ranked team in Orange County and Mater Dei is the defending Southern Section Division I champion.
