Denver Bronco punter Mike Horan will miss the rest of the season after undergoing reconstructive surgery on his right knee. Horan is the second-leading punter in the NFL with a 45.5-yard average.
The Kansas City Chiefs waived kicker Eddie Murray after he kicked in one game as a substitute for Nick Lowery. Murray, released by Detroit before the start of the season, made a 52-yard field goal in his only attempt last Sunday night in the Chiefs’ 27-3 loss to Pittsburgh. . . . Veteran linebacker E.J. Junior, released two months ago by the Miami Dolphins, signed with Tampa Bay.
