PRO FOOTBALL: DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Anderson Might Not Play Sunday
Wide receiver Flipper Anderson was held out of practice again Wednesday because of a sore right ankle and was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Anderson, who also is nursing a tender hamstring, hurt his ankle at the end of a pass play in the Rams’ victory over the Giants Oct. 18, and the Rams hoped it would be healed with the time off because of the bye weekend.
Partial results from a magnetic resonance imaging test revealed no major damage to the ankle, just a bone bruise, but the Rams were still awaiting the complete test result.
Though longtime Knox-favorite Jacob Green was released this week by Seattle, Knox suggested it wasn’t likely the Rams would acquire the veteran defensive lineman because they want to stay with their young players at that position.
