Franklin 14, Verdugo Hills 6--Two Verdugo Hills fumbles in the second half led to a pair of Franklin touchdowns at Eagle Rock High in a game that featured six turnovers by each team.

Verdugo Hills (1-6-1, 1-4) took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter when Eddie Powell (three receptions for 46 yards) caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Chris Ferris. Powell also intercepted two passes as a defensive back.

Verdugo Hills was held to 116 yards in total offense.

Franklin (4-4, 3-2) quarterback Tony Delgado completed 14 of 35 passes for 180 yards, and two touchdowns, including a four-yard touchdown pass to Armando Valdez early in the fourth quarter.
