Turner’s Late Goal Leads Edison in Soccer

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Halfback Michelle Turner scored with eight minutes left in the match to give Edison, ranked fifth in the Southern Section Division I preseason girls’ soccer poll, a 2-1 victory over top-ranked Mater Dei Thursday at Edison.

Christine Tyler also scored for the Chargers (3-2). Katie Tyler scored for Mater Dei (2-2).
