Crenshaw 79, Long Beach Poly 68--Junior center Kris Johnson had 20 points and the Crenshaw defense forced 26 turnovers in its win over Long Beach Poly in the championship semifinals of the Coca-Cola Converse/Classic at Trabuco Hills.
Junior Dion Holton had 18 points coming off the bench and James Brown had 15 to lead Long Beach Poly.
On Wednesday, Crenshaw beat Pasadena Muir, 97-88, in the quarterfinal round. The finals were scheduled for Saturday.
Records: Long Beach Poly 2-1; Crenshaw 6-1.
