Senior forward J.R. Woods had career-highs in points (20) and rebounds (13) in Cal Lutheran’s 120-85 win over Pacific Christian College on Friday. . . . Seven CLU players have scoring averages in double figures: Damon Ridley (12.0), Paul Tapp (11.5), Derrick Clark (11.4), Rupert Sapwell (11.2), Kelly Crosby (10.6), Dave Ulloa (10.4) and Jared Byrne (10.4). Sapwell is the top rebounder with an 8.0 average. . . .

David Humphreys and Emeka Okenwa have helped The Master’s (10-8) win four consecutive games. Humphreys scored 24 points against Westmont and 21 against Bethany to improve his average to 11.6. Okenwa, a native of Nigeria who transferred this season from Division I Southern Illinois, led the Mustangs against Dominican with 21 points, increasing his average to 14.5. Andy Thompson continues to lead The Master’s in scoring with a 15.3 average. . . .

Valley guard Joe Mauldin is leading Western State Conference players in field-goal percentage (61.5%). Mauldin, who is averaging 16 points and 6.5 rebounds a game, has made 72 of 117 shots. . . .

Valley center Brian Jackson ranks second among WSC players in rebounding with a 10.0 average. Jackson has 75 offensive rebounds and 85 defensive rebounds in 16 games. . . .

Canyons’ Cedric Jones, who is averaging 7.4 assists a game, had 27 assists in three games last week. . . . Glendale’s Will Burr is shooting nearly as well from three-point range (42 for 98 for 42.9%) as he is from two-point range (30 for 67 for 44.8%).
