Palos Verdes Peninsula 67, Alhambra 45--Jill Kennedy had 17 points and Mimi McKinney added 14 to lead the Panthers (17-7) to a I-AA victory at Rolling Hills. Tamara Maldonado scored 29 points for Alhambra (20-5).
No. 10 Huntington Beach 79, Ontario 48--Deana Itow had 29 points and 11 assists to lead the Oilers (25-3) to a I-A victory at Ontario (23-5). Clare Walker added 25 points and 13 rebounds for Huntington Beach. Rasheeda Clark led Ontario with 15 points.
Westlake Village Westlake 57, Anaheim Katella 47--Tracy Young scored nine of her 13 points during the fourth quarter to lead the Warriors (14-13) to a II-A playoff upset at Anaheim. Shanon Sincock also scored 13 for Westlake. Katella ended the season 18-5.
No. 4 Inglewood Morningside 85, Anaheim Western 47--Tima Thompson scored 25 points, leading the Monarchs (23-2) to a III-AA victory at Inglewood.
No. 16 Mission Hills Alemany 80, Norwalk Glenn 50--Samantha Rigley had 19 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead the Indians (23-4) to a III-AA victory at Mission Hills.
No. 12 Costa Mesa 73, Sante Fe Springs St. Paul 49--Olivia DiCamilli scored 33 points to lead the Mustangs (24-4) to a III-A victory at Costa Mesa. St. Paul (14-11) pulled to within four points in the third quarter on an 18-1 run.
La Puente Bassett 48, Torrance Bishop Montgomery 47--Montessa Duckett had 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Olympians (18-6) to a III-AA victory at La Puente. Bishop Montgomery (12-9) was a II-A finalist last year.
Culver City 49, Covina Northview 44--Jenny Nakanishi, an All-Southern Section guard, had 28 points and nine rebounds to lead the Centaurs to an upset III-A victory at Northview (17-5). Culver City went on a 16-3 run during the third quarter to take control.
