BENCH HELP: Costa Mesa High School basketball fans were thrilled when victory last week propelled the girls’ basketball team to the Division III State Finals in Oakland this Saturday. One problem: No one had thought to budget money for the Mustangs’ first trip to the finals. . . . Coach Lisa McNamee says she hoped players and cheerleaders could fund the trip on their own when unexpected help arrived: Western Digital Inc. in Irvine has agreed to pay most of the costs. Marriott Hotels and American Airlines are pitching in too.
