COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Lundblad Leads Saddleback Victory

Steen Lundblad won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1, as Saddleback rolled past Irvine Valley, 9-0, in an Orange Empire Conference men’s tennis match Monday at Saddleback.
Lundblad also teamed with Jason Scanlon to win at No. 3 doubles, 6-2, 6-0, for host Saddleback (13-0, 10-0 in conference).
In Orange Empire Conference softball:
Golden West 3, Rancho Santiago 2--Marcy Rainwater singled home Nikki Hale from third with the winning run in the fifth and Shelley Nelson had three hits for host Golden West (5-10, 2-7), which stopped a six-game losing streak. Rancho Santiago is 12-12, 5-4.
Orange Coast 4, Irvine Valley 0--Kathy Shortall pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts for host Orange Coast (14-6, 8-1).
Riverside 4, Fullerton 3--Riverside scored four unearned runs in the fifth inning to overcome host Fullerton (15-7, 7-4), which had a 3-0 lead.
