In the Academy League:

Liberty Christian 11, St. Michael’s 1 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Jeremy Anderson had two hits and scored three runs and Nate Sharp had a hit and two RBIs for host Liberty Christian (13-7, 6-2), which finished in a three-way tie for first with St. Margaret’s and Cal Lutheran. Because of coin flips, St. Margaret’s will be the league’s No. 1 entry to the playoffs; Liberty Christian is No. 2 and Cal Lutheran No. 3.

In the Sunset League:

Servite 6, Santa Ana 3--Matt Muller had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs for visiting Servite (9-15, 6-8).

Marina 2, Ocean View 1 (8 innings)--In the bottom of the eighth, Craig Wilson singled home Chris Yakura, who had doubled, to give the Vikings (14-13, 6-8) the victory at Marina.

Edison 7, Huntington Beach 2--Greg Hanoian had a bases-loaded, two-run single in the fifth to open up a 2-1 lead for the second-place Chargers (20-5, 12-2).

In the Century League:

El Modena 7, Foothill 2--Senior Todd Goerlinger singled in two runs in the sixth inning to give El Modena (9-16, 7-8) the lead for good. Goerlinger also had a triple.

Villa Park 5, Canyon 1--Scott Henderson (6-3) had 11 strikeouts in a three-hitter for Villa Park (12-13, 7-8). Canyon finished 14-11, 8-7.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Trabuco Hills 5, Costa Mesa 3--Sophomore Ryan Kelley (3-1) struck out 12 in the complete-game victory as the Mustangs (11-11-1, 8-6-1) clinched third place.

Laguna Hills 5, Century 2--Shortstop Brett Nista had a home run and a triple, driving in three runs for the Hawks (17-9).

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 6, Cerritos Valley Christian 3--Valley Christian (17-5, 11-1) suffered its first league loss in two years. Jeff Courvoisier (7-4) went the distance, aided by Dave Willit’s RBIs in the fifth and seventh innings for the second-place Lancers (17-7, 10-2).

In the Metro League:

Lake Elsinore Bundy Canyon Christian 6, Pacific Shores 5--Keith Pollard singled in Dan Peterson from second in the bottom of the fifth to give Bundy Canyon (5-5) the victory. Pollard also had 12 strikeouts.
