Crespi 14, Bell Gardens 2--Casey Snow and Jeff Suppan each hit a home run and knocked in three runs to lead top-seeded Crespi to an easy win in a Division I second-round game at Veterans Park in Commerce.

Crespi broke the game open in the second on a wild play.

Gus Jordt struck out with the bases loaded and one out on a wild pitch. The runner on third scored and the errant throw from Norbert Sandoval to Jorge Andrade covering home allowed another run.

Jordt attempted to run but was ruled out on the strike out as first base was occupied, but shortstop Manuel Arana picked up the ball and tried to get Jordt out--again, but he was called with interference and the play was ruled dead.

After consecutive hits, Snow followed with a two-run double to make it 6-0.

The Lancers avoided a shutout when Pete Loza doubled home Robert Lizarraga in the sixth.
