Scheffels Goes Distance in Santa Susana Victory

Jason Alcala’s single drove in Ryan Hankins with the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning to help Santa Susana beat San Diego Grossmont, 4-3, Saturday in a consolation-round game of the Palomino regional tournament at Riverside Sports Complex.
Bill Scheffels, who will be a senior at Simi Valley High, gave up seven hits and struck out six for a complete-game victory.
