Costa Mesa’s Binh Tran took control of the game Thursday night on the first play and the Mustangs routed Laguna Beach, 58-20, at Newport Harbor.

Tran scored the first of his four touchdowns when he took the handoff from quarterback Ryan Taylor and ran 63 yards down the sideline 31 seconds into the game.
