In other Northwest Valley Conference games:
Taft 53, Cleveland 8--Taft narrowly missed its fourth shutout of the season when the Cavaliers (1-8, 0-6) scored late in the fourth quarter, but the visiting Toreadors (9-0, 6-0) romped.
Taft quarterback Mike Ferguson completed only five passes in eight attempts, but four went for touchdowns. Receiver Dion Gaston caught two passes for touchdowns of 23 and 10 yards. Gaston also returned an interception for a 68-yard touchdown.
Running back Jerry Brown gained 181 yards in 15 carries and ran for three touchdowns.
The Toreadors--who attempted three onside kicks--did not punt and converted three Cleveland turnovers into touchdowns.
Cleveland quarterback Johnny Lopez completed five of 11 attempts for 61 yards with three interceptions, two by Melvin Fulcher.
