Crespi 17, Alemany 15--Shaun Williams rushed 11 times for 157 yards and touchdowns of 25 and 87 yards as the Celts held off host Alemany. Williams’ first-half scores gave Crespi (5-4, 2-2) a 14-0 halftime lead. Williams left the game with a slight neck injury in the third quarter.
Defensive lineman Brett Nordyke led the Celt defense with six tackles and two sacks, one of which forced an Alemany fumble.
David Eastham led the Indians (3-6, 0-4) with 65 yards in 14 carries. Eastham scored on a 68-yard punt return in the third quarter to cut the margin to 14-7.
Alemany sophomore quarterback Darin Bell, making his first start of the season, completed 11 of 23 passes for 121 yards. Danny Hargrave scored on a three-yard run and added a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter to trim the difference to 17-15.
