Dana Hills, Sr.

Volleyball / Outside hitter

Last season, Dana Hills won its first eight matches but flamed out and won only two of its 10 South Coast League contests. Things changed this year with co-captain Vetter’s help. “She leads by example, she leads verbally,” Dana Hills Coach Mike Hurlbut said. “She’s everything I want in a captain.” Last week, she led the Dolphins’ victories over Capistrano Valley and San Clemente that clinched the school’s first league title in girls’ volleyball. She had 19 kills in three games against Capistrano Valley and 13 in three games against San Clemente.
