Bernie Kosar will make his first start for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons if Troy Aikman’s hamstring injury isn’t 100% healed, Coach Jimmy Johnson said.

Kosar came off the bench to replace Jason Garrett against the Phoenix Cardinals on Sunday and completed 13 of 21 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown in a 20-15 victory that extended the world champion’s winning streak to seven games.

“In all probability, Bernie will start Sunday,” Johnson said.

Joe Montana’s pulled hamstring has healed enough to make him a possible starter for the Kansas City Chiefs’ game Sunday against the Chicago Bears, Coach Marty Schottenheimer said.

Running back Harold Green won’t be suspended or benched for calling Dave Shula the worst head coach in Bengal history, general manager Mike Brown said. A 38-3 loss Sunday to the Houston Oilers left the Bengals 0-9 for the first time in the franchise’s 26 years.
