OUTLOOK

The Warriors are solid contenders to repeat as Olympic League champions and maintain their 26-game league winning streak. However, Brethren Christian has moved up to Division IV, so repeating as Southern Section champions will be difficult. Replacing Division V Player of the Year Scott Thomas will not be easy either, but with three starters and Thomas’ sixth man coming back, experience will not be a factor. Davis, Brown and Washington have turned in their shoulder pads for high tops and should bring the intensity with them. Mendoza is an all-league player who will skillfully handle the point-guard duties. Milne is a transfer from Westminster High and should provide some extra offense from the shooting-guard position. An unproven bench and lack of overall height are the only weaknesses for the Warriors. Brethren Christian is hoping to have a new gymnasium to play in by January.
