Irvine 52, Saddleback 51--Irvine held on despite 17 fourth-quarter points by Nicole Wiora, who finished with 27 for Saddleback (4-13, 0-10). Shawnee Stevens had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Irvine (10-9, 4-6), which reached its goal of 10 victories after going 2-19 last year.

Santa Margarita 43, Corona del Mar 37--Shannon Noonan’s 13 points led Santa Margarita (5-13, 3-7). Lindsay Warmington had 14 points, including four three-pointers, for Corona del Mar (9-11, 3-7).

Woodbridge 51, University 36--Angela Burgess had 19 points and 18 rebounds for second-ranked Woodbridge. University (11-7, 5-5), which trailed by three at halftime, got 12 points from Heather Snavely.

In the Garden Grove League:

Kennedy 69, Pacifica 40--Karin Kitagawa had 20 points for Kennedy (15-7, 8-2). Pilar Surch scored 18 for Pacifica (7-12, 3-7).

La Quinta 64, Garden Grove 37--Rhonda Gondringer’s 25 points and 14 rebounds led No. 10 La Quinta (16-4, 10-0). Linda Rodriguez added 14 points and 15 rebounds. Garden Grove’s Michol Murray was held to five points. Garden Grove is 7-12, 5-5.

Rancho Alamitos 58, Bolsa Grande 22--Julie Littman scored 18 points with a school-record six three-pointers for Rancho Alamitos (15-6, 9-1). Bolsa Grande is 3-14, 1-9.

Santiago 56, Los Amigos 24--Cari Remmel had 25 points and 20 rebounds and Savina Diaz had 15 points as Santiago (6-14, 3-7) avenged an earlier loss to Los Amigos (1-18, 1-9).
