Gardena 58, Jordan 53--Jordan guard George Barrett scored 19 points in a City Section 3-A quarterfinal loss at home Wednesday to Gardena. Forward Termell Goss added 14 for the Bulldogs. Washington 79, Chatsworth 74--Dayron Harris scored 27 points and Gregory Gales had 20 as Washington won its first-round game of the City Section 4-A playoffs Wednesday.

Eddie Miller scored 23 points while Tariq Hill and Marcel Wilson each had 14 in a losing effort for Chatsworth. Dorsey 66, North Hollywood 65--For the second consecutive year, North Hollywood High waltzed through league and conference play without a defeat only to be eliminated by Dorsey in the preliminary rounds of the City Section playoffs.

Dorsey trailed until nearly midway through the third quarter, but once the Dons claimed their first lead they never relinquished it and held on to upset the Huskies Wednesday night in a first-round game of the 4-A Division playoffs.
