El Modena Goalie Moreno Will Play Soccer for UCLA
El Modena’s Amy Moreno has made an oral commitment to play soccer for UCLA, former El Modena Coach Tino Ray Younger said Tuesday.
Moreno, a goalkeeper who was named the Southern Section Division II defensive player of the year and the Century League most valuable player, had 12 shutouts and a 0.60 goals-against average. A first-team all-county selection, she helped the Vanguards win their first league title in girls’ soccer.
