In another Sunset League games:
Marina 12, Edison 1 (6, mercy)--Marcy Crouch had two doubles and pitched a four-hitter for visiting Marina (8-1, 3-1).
In nonleague softball:
Aliso Niguel 4, Saddleback 2--Candice Heath (8-7) gave up two unearned runs on five hits to lead visiting Aliso Niguel (8-8). Allison Batten had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs.
In South Coast League baseball:
Dana Hills 2, Capistrano Valley 1--Pitcher Chris Toomey went the distance, giving up three hits for Dana Hills (8-6-1, 3-1). Toomey also went three for four with one RBI.
In Sunset League baseball:
Edison 7, Marina 4--With runners on second and third and Edison trailing, 3-2, reliever Todd Belitz came in and struck out the remaining Marina batters to keep Edison in the game. Second baseman Matt Barcelona hit a three-run double in the seventh inning for the victory. Edison is 7-3, 2-2.
Fountain Valley 1, Huntington Beach 0--Luke Hudson struck out two and gave up two hits to shut out Huntington Beach. The loss ended a nine-game winning streak for Huntington Beach (9-2, 3-1). Fountain Valley is 9-1, 3-1.
In pool play at the Las Vegas Durango Tournament:
Canyon 10, Sabino (Ariz.) 0--Casey Wilson had three hits and scored three runs, Greg Valent had three hits and Greg Jacobs drove in four runs and pitched a two-hitter for Canyon (8-4).
