In other conference baseball:

Orange Coast 8, Golden West 0--Ralph Lopez pitched a six-hit shutout, striking out six for Orange Coast (9-25, 3-17).

Nick Valencia and Chris Yakura each had three hits for the Pirates, who scored five in the first.

Saddleback 13, Fullerton 4--Dennis Crine struck out 11 and walked five in a complete game for Saddleback (21-12-1, 11-9). Lorne Rosas went three for three with three RBIs and Ted Wilkes had three hits and two RBIs.

In Orange Empire Conference softball:

Cypress 8, Irvine Valley 1--Coach Brad Pickler picked up his 300th coaching victory. Pickler is 300-119 (.716) in his eight seasons at Cypress.

Francine Lopez had a double and drove in four runs for the Chargers (39-14, 14-5).

Sara Works added two hits and four runs and Kerry Moloney scored twice and drove in three runs.

Golden West 4, Riverside 1--Jennifer Boston’s two-run double in the first gave Golden West (11-23, 6-13) a 2-0 lead. Nikki Mimms added three hits for the Rustlers.
