A 7-year-old boy was killed and his mother, grandmother and sister were in critical condition Tuesday after being bound, gagged and stabbed in a dispute over money, police said. A relative of the victims was arrested in Oakland by the California Highway Patrol a few hours after the attack. Ricky Tejada, the father of the slain boy, returned from his night job at a hotel to the bloody scene at his home Tuesday morning, police said. Tejada’s son, Jerico, was dead and his wife, his mother and the couple’s daughter had been bound and stabbed, police said. Virginia Tejada, 64, Felina Tejada, 36, and Jerrilyn, 6, were taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where they were in surgery, a hospital spokeswoman said. A 3-year-old and an infant in another part of the house were uninjured, police said. Ricky Tejada’s brother-in-law, Richard Villegas, 23, who used to live in the basement of the Tejada house, was arrested while crossing an Oakland street, San Francisco police said. Tejada told police that his wife said Villegas came to the house to ask her for money and attacked the family when she refused to give him any.
