OUTLOOK

Haley could have one of the more difficult coaching jobs in the county, rebuilding a winless team that returns only three starters. But Haley helped turn around a dreadful Orange program a few years back. In 18 years of coaching, he has never had a losing season. In Cortez, Haley has one of the league’s better athletes. Cortez will move from quarterback to fullback. “I’m afraid his productivity would go down if we had him at safety and quarterback,” Haley said. “If I put Christian at fullback, I know he’s going to scratch and claw for at least three or four yards. He knows where the hole is going to be. And we won’t lose much with Octavio, who’s more of a pure passer than Christian.” Haley is also excited about Callari, who didn’t play last year. “He’s a man’s man.”
