Newbury Park 18, Hueneme 6--Hal Sullivan intercepted a pass with 25 seconds to play and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown to ensure a Newbury Park victory at Hueneme.

Running back Brock Diediker, a junior, rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns in 14 carries. Teammate Tony Robertson rushed for a game-high 161 yards in 24 carries.

Running back Ronnie Jenkins led Hueneme with 90 yards in 19 carries. His 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter tied the score, 6-6.

Junior quarterback Justin Vint completed three of eight passes for 39 yards with no interceptions for Newbury Park.

Newbury Park, the defending Division III champion, posted its 15th consecutive victory. The Panthers defeated Hueneme, 73-6, last season.
