Outlook: After a four-year hiatus, Cochran returns to take over a successful program built by Dave Wilson, who left after last season to coach in New Mexico. The Knights are loaded despite having only one senior among their top 10 runners. Second at the Orange County Championships last season, Katella is the odds-on favorite this time around behind the leadership of Benitez and Miramontes. Benitez finished fourth at the Empire League finals last year, and Miramontes was seventh. Pinto and Venegas are also seasoned varsity veterans. Pinto helped the Knights to third place at the State Meet with his 61st place finish.
