Cornerback Todd Lyght is beginning his fourth season with the Rams and still looking for his first victory over the 49ers.
To achieve success, Lyght said, it begins with him and his play on 49er wide receiver Jerry Rice.
Rice, the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdowns with 127, has scored 11 against the Rams and has more yards receiving against the Rams, 1,527, than against any other team.
“It’s comparable to going out and trying to D-up Michael Jordan,” Lyght said. “He’s going to get some, but you have to make it so he’s not going to be the game-breaker.”
