CITY SECTION FOOTBALL ROUNDUP
Birmingham 14, Reseda 13--Birmingham had won only once in the 14 previous games between these neighborhood rivals, but rallied with two second-half touchdowns to surprise the Regents.
Courtney Blunt’s one-yard run, followed by Luis Saldero’s extra point, put Birmingham (3-0) ahead halfway through the fourth quarter.
Reseda (1-2) scored first on Michael Oxx’s six-yard run and went ahead, 13-0, on quarterback Matt Rutter’s 23-yard pass to Alonso Arreola in the second quarter. Arreola’s first-quarter extra-point try bounced off the right upright.
