Carson, Locke Each Forfeit Two Victories

Two high school football teams have forfeited games because of the participation of ineligible players, the CIF City Section announced in press releases this week.

Carson, the defending City 4-A champion, and Locke, which advanced to the 4-A quarterfinals last season before losing to Westchester, used players who were academically ineligible. Once school administrators became aware of the use of the ineligible players, the schools forfeited two games each, City officials said.

Carson forfeited a 21-20 victory over Crenshaw on Sept. 30 and a 14-13 victory over Banning on Oct. 21. With the forfeits, Carson’s record fell to 1-6.
