In the California State Invitational water polo tournament:

Corona del Mar 7, Long Beach Wilson 6--Thad Buzolich scored three goals, James Palda added two and Doug Jetton had eight saves to lead Corona del Mar to the tournament championship. Adam McFarland scored four goals to lead the Sea Kings to a 9-4 victory over Foothill in the semifinals.

Fresno Clovis West 13, Foothill 12 (OT)--Brian Brown scored seven goals and Ryan Brown recorded six saves for Foothill (18-5).

In nonleague games:

Laguna Beach 14, Irvine 9--Christian Jensen and Chris Dornin each scored five goals to lead host Laguna Beach (19-7).

Los Alamitos 15, Mission Viejo 13 (2 OT)--Eric Ploessel scored five goals, Mike Cazden added three and Charles Brodsky had 12 saves to lead visiting Los Alamitos (15-9). Trey Batten scored five goals and Charlie Womack had 20 saves for Mission Viejo (13-12).

Santa Margarita 8, Lompoc Cabrillo 4--Brent Reynard and Tony Bierenkoven each scored four goals and Steve Ferguson had 16 saves to lead host Santa Margarita (12-12).

In nonleague volleyball:

Mater Dei 3, Los Angeles Marymount 0--Roberta Gehlke had 15 kills and Abigail Daniels added 11 kills to lead visiting Mater Dei (13-4) to a 15-5, 17-15, 15-8 victory.
