OUTLOOK
Brethren Christian is going to have to start from scratch after losing all five starters two years after playing in the state finals. Thomas is going to go with the popular running game to start the season since his team’s best assests are its speed, ballhandling ability and outside shooting. If that doesn’t work, he will have to rethink his strategy. Thomas would like to get 80 to 90 points a game from his team, but defense will be the key to winning, he said. Babcock and Milne are the backbone of the Warriors, but Cooper is going to be a player to watch because of his good size and presence under the basket. Brethren Christian is by no means a young team, as it has four seniors and four juniors, but on-the-court experience will still be a factor in how well it does against league favorites Calvary Chapel and Whittier Christian.
