Share

Cory Johnson scored 22 points to lead Los Alamitos to a 72-53 victory over Corona del Mar in the championship game of the Daily Pilot Tip-Off Classic at Corona del Mar High.

Johnson made two three-pointers and eight of 10 free throws for the Griffins (4-0). He also had five rebounds.

But the key for Los Alamitos was its dominance inside. A.D. Lamoreux and Jeremy Vandervoet controlled the lane, scoring 15 points each. They combined for 14 rebounds, and Vandervoet blocked six shots.
