In other nonleague boys’ volleyball:

Canyon 3, Century 1--Brandon Rogers had 10 kills and Ricky White had nine for Canyon (3-3), which won 11-15, 15-7, 15-9, 15-9.

Esperanza 3, Capistrano Valley 1--Mike Tully led Capistrano Valley with 11 kills during the 15-2, 9-15, 15-4, 15-13 loss.

Fountain Valley 3, Mission Viejo 0--Chris Kosty led the Barons with 11 kills in its 15-2, 15-4, 15-5 sweep.

Los Alamitos 3, Long Beach Wilson 0--Chris Komer had six kills, seven blocks and two assists for Los Alamitos (3-2), which beat Long Beach Wilson, 15-8, 15-7, 15-5. Brian Dunn had 10 kills for the Griffins.

Mater Dei 3, Lakewood 2--Mark Pozsgai had 25 kills and Kyle Ross added 17 for Mater Dei (4-2). Glendon Foster, with 18 blocks, was the top defensive player for the Monarchs, who won 12-15, 12-15, 15-7, 15-12, 15-13.

Newport Harbor 3, Estancia 0--Greg Slick had 12 kills to lead Newport Harbor (2-2), 15-6, 15-13, 15-9.

Poway 3, Corona del Mar 1--Brian Coleman led Corona del Mar with 21 kills during the 15-12, 6-15, 15-5, 15-4 loss.

Valencia 3, Villa Park 0--Outside hitter Richard Black led Valencia (5-4) with six kills and five aces in a 15-2, 15-11, 15-11 sweep.
