Quartz Hill pitcher Darrell Hussman will sign a letter of intent next week to play baseball for Arizona, he said Tuesday.

“When I took my trip there, I felt at home the minute I got off the plane,” Hussman said. “The desert climate and their baseball stadium felt right to me.”

A 6-foot-4, 175-pound senior right-hander, he was rated the No. 74 prospect in the nation by Baseball America although he did not pitch much as a junior because of tendinitis in his right shoulder.
