St. Genevieve High has hired Bill Connor as head football coach.
Connor, who has more than 25 years of coaching experience at the high school and college levels, was most recently an assistant at Delaware State.
Connor replaces Jeff Trovatten, who coached the Valiants for the 1994 season, during which they went 1-9.

Thousand Oaks senior right-hander Tim Baron will sign a letter of intent to play baseball at Cal State Fullerton today, his father, Bill Baron, said Wednesday.
Baron (6 feet, 185 pounds) also considered UC Santa Barbara, Gonzaga and Tulane.
Baron was 5-5 with a 1.13 earned-run average last year, but his senior season has been slowed because of a rotator cuff injury he suffered while doing handstands during baseball practice.
Baron has since recovered and is 1-2 with a 3.32 ERA in 25 1/3 innings. He has three saves.

Verdugo Hills Coach Dan Balkey has announced his resignation, effective at the end of the Dons’ season.
Balkey, who guided Verdugo Hills to the 1993 City 3-A championship and an appearance in the 1994 title game, cited low player participation and motivation as the reason for his decision.
“We only had nine kids out there today (a 10-3 victory over Eagle Rock),” said Balkey, whose team is 9-3 and is in first place in the Northern League. “There aren’t a lot of (college) scholarship-oriented kids on the team. They use it more as a park-and-rec-type thing.
“It’s not their ability but we’re struggling for kids every year.”
Balkey, whose three-year record at Verdugo Hills is 39-11, said he has been approached by several junior colleges and high schools about possible coaching vacancies.
