In other Orange Empire Conference baseball games:

Orange Coast 8, Golden West 5--Mondo Fonseca went three for four with a pair of doubles, two RBI and two runs scored and Nick Valencia and Chris Yakura had two hits each for Orange Coast (21-18, 11-9). Pirate reliever Mike Guymon (2-1) scattered four hits over the final 5 2/3 innings. Nathan Freeman, Luke Fox and Johnny Matlock each had two hits for Golden West (11-29, 3-18).

Saddleback 6, Riverside 5--Sam Viota hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning for Saddleback (18-17, 9-12). Voita’s homer, his seventh of the year, scored Jason Pierson, who had doubled.

Graham Mazur struck out Jason Clark with two outs and a runner on in the ninth for his first save.

In the Ojai tennis tournament:

Roseen wins two--Ann-Marie Roseen, of Saddleback, won two matches. Roseen defeated Long Beach’s Cheryl Windsor, 6-1, 6-0, and Danielle Daly (Santa Barbara), 7-5, 6-0.
