COMMUNITY COLLEGE SOFTBALL : Rancho Santiago Softball Players Earn Top Honors

Rancho Santiago, which won the Orange Empire Conference softball championships this season, swept the postseason awards as well.

The Dons’ Christina Mazurie was player of the year, Amy Tessman was pitcher of the year and Kim Nutter was coach of the year.

Mazurie hit .403 in conference and is the only player in Rancho Santiago history with more than 100 career hits. She has 101.

Tessman was 13-2 with an earned-run average of 0.66 as the Dons finished 19-2, a game in front of Cypress.
