JEREMY BART

Huntington Beach, Sr.

Bart, who is 6-4, was named the Sunset League’s co-MVP with Seckington. He is one of the county’s best all-around players and will attend Stanford.

GABE GARDNER

San Clemente, Sr.

Gardner, the county’s most dominating attacker, helped the Tritons reach the Division I final for the first time since 1981. He will play at USC next season.

CURTIS JACKSON

Tustin, Sr.

An athletic hitter and blocker, Jackson helped the Tillers defeat Calvary Chapel in the Division II championship match, giving Tustin its first volleyball title.

KURT NELSON

Laguna Beach, Sr.

Nelson, the most polished setter in the county, led Artists to a No. 1 ranking in the county at the end of the regular season. He will play at UCLA next season.

ROBERT SCHILDTS

Calvary Chapel, Sr.

Schildts, 6-7, played both outside hitter and middle blocker for the Eagles, who played in their fourth section final in five seasons. He has signed with Loyola Marymount.

KURT SECKINGTON

Fountain Valley, Sr.

Seckington is a gritty competitor who had a knack for winning. Named league co-MVP, he will study astrophysics and play volleyball at UC San Diego next season.

LORI BILLER

Fountain Valley

In her second season, continued the rejuvenation of the school’s boys’ volleyball program by leading the Barons to their first league championship since 1984.

THE SECOND TEAM

Corin Bemus (Sr.)

San Clemente

A 6-5 outside hitter, was the team’s top passer and effective No. 2 offensive option.

Luke Carlson (Sr.)

Irvine

A 6-6 middle blocker, was named co-MVP of the Sea View, the county’s toughest league.

Blair Eldridge (Sr.)

Irvine

Eldridge earned league co-MVP honors, helping Irvine to the Division I second round.

Chris Kosty (Sr.)

Fountain Valley

A dependable attacker and passer, helped the Barons reach the Division I quarterfinals.

Ed Ratledge (Sr.)

Fountain Valley

A 6-8 left-hander, posed major problems for opponents whether he was hitting or blocking.

Omar Rawi (Sr.)

Capistrano Valley

Helped the Cougars win the South Coast League. Has signed a letter of intent with USC.
