Leo Klemm, who has won more than 200 games, resigned from his basketball coaching position at St. Monica High after 12 seasons.

Klemm said Wednesday he has accepted a coaching and administrative position with a high school in Indiana.

Klemm compiled a record of 203-109 and led the Mariners to the Southern Section semifinals four times at the upper division level. The Mariners won the Division IV-A championship in 1991.

Some of the players he has coached include Los Angeles Clippers and former Arizona star Brian Williams, Jason Matthews (Pittsburgh), Earl Duncan (Syracuse, Rutgers), Cleveland Jackson (Georgia), Jahi Bacon (San Jose State), Jason Joe (Weber State), Mark Johnson (Southeast Missouri State) and Landers Nolley (Louisiana State).

“Like all things, I have mixed emotions about leaving St. Monica,” Klemm said. “I have had many great experiences in basketball and with the whole school.”
