Katilyn Terry, a 5-foot-7 outside hitter at San Gorgonio High, had 17 kills in a three-game sweep against Arlington. She also had 13 kills against Yucaipa and nine against North as San Gorgonio got off to a 4-0 start. . . . Sean Clendaniel, a senior at Yucaipa, won the Division III race at the Woodbridge Invitational cross-country meet Saturday. His time of 15 minutes 4 seconds was the second-best in all four divisions. . . . Redlands won the girls’ large-school division title at the Rim of the World cross-country meet Saturday. Kimber Tolar finished third (12:18) and Marie Ferguson was fourth (12:20). At the same meet, Rim of the World’s Sedina Banks won the girl’s race by 41 seconds (11:34 for two miles), and Rim of the World’s David Jackson won the boys’ race (16:48, three miles) in the small-school division. . . . Brad Durbin scored 17 goals to lead Ayala’s water polo team to a third-place finish at the Riverside Poly tournament. . . . Lucerne Valley’s top running back, Johnny Ballard, will probably miss Saturday’s game against Hesperia Christian because of a neck injury. . . . Fontana High will play host to the Fifth Annual Inland Super Coaching Clinic on Saturday, with Long Beach State’s Seth Greenberg, Connecticut’s Jim Calhoun, West Virginia’s Gale Catlett, Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, USC’s Charlie Parker and UCLA’s Jim Harrick to speak.
