Moorpark 32, Santa Clara 20--Brian Paul threw three touchdowns passes to David Burns to lead Moorpark (4-2, 1-0) at home. Burns had six receptions for 109 yards.

Paul completed 12 of 20 for 165 yards and rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown in 12 carries.

Moorpark gained 342 yards in offense and its defense sacked Santa Clara quarterback Adrian Maciel four times.

Maciel, a sophomore, completed 12 of 20 for 177 yards, including two touchdowns to Andy Super.
