Camarillo 43, Royal 12--The Scorpions (4-3, 3-1) broke open a close game by scoring 28 third quarter points to spoil Royal’s homecoming at Moorpark college.

Leading 15-12 at the half, Camarillo’s Justin Howe took the second half kickoff 45 yards to set up Andy Kroneberger’s 47-yard scoring run one play later.

Kronenberger scored the first three times he carried the ball and scored the Scorpion’s first three touchdowns in the second half. He finished with 142 yards in five carries, including scoring runs of 47, 39 and 49 yards.

Quarterback Joe Borchard also had a big game for Camarillo, completing 18 of 27 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
