Mavericks Defeat Magic and O’Neal
Jim Jackson scored 29 points and three other Dallas players had at least 20 as the Mavericks overcame Shaquille O’Neal’s 33 points for a 119-104 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday night at Dallas.

New Jersey 108, Toronto 83--Armon Gilliam scored 12 points in an early 19-4 spurt to lead the Nets at New Jersey.
Minnesota 103, Sacramento 94--Darrick Martin scored a career-high 20 points and Isaiah Rider had 29 as the Timberwolves ended a five-game losing streak and the Kings lost their fourth game on a five-game trip.
Atlanta 96, Detroit 88--Steve Smith scored 31 points and Mookie Blaylock 21 at Atlanta as the Hawks won their fourth consecutive game.
