Pasadena Muir track coaches Jim Brownfield and Clyde Turner will be honored at the Los Angeles Invitational track and field meet Feb. 24 at the Sports Arena. The meet will feature Muir standout Obea Moore, who set a world age-group record of 45.15 seconds in the 400 meters for athletes 15 and under in the World Junior Pan-American Games in September in Chile. . . . Brothers Tom Salter of Bishop Amat and Tim Salter of Upland will coach the East team at the National Football Foundation’s 17th Hall of Fame Game on July 12 at Citrus College. Last fall, the Salter brothers became the first brothers in state history to win divisional CIF titles in the same season. Muir co-coaches Tony Crutchfield and Eric Johnson will coach the West team and become the first former Hall of Fame Game players to coach in the game. Crutchfield played in 1987, after graduating from Muir, and Johnson played in 1986, after graduating from Maranatha. . . . Arroyo’s Omar Ojeda, a three-year starter, scored three goals in leading the Knights to a 5-2 victory over South El Monte in boys’ soccer. . . . Diamond Bar won its 39th consecutive Sierra League girls’ basketball game with a 79-25 victory over West Covina. Sophomore center Lauri McIntosh led the Brahmas with 25 points and 12 rebounds. . . . Robert Okazaki of Glendora was named most valuable wrestler after winning in the 140-pound division of the Nogales tournament last Saturday.
